A Drake Football player is being recognized for his volunteer work.

Right guard Zach Bosch was named to the All State and American Football Coach Association “good work" team.

He got a special plaque for his work and gets to go to the Sugar Bowl.

Bosch does volunteer work at several places, but one of his top priorities is visiting veterans at the VA hospital in Des Moines.

Zach says he has several family members that are veterans and he wanted to give back.

Zach brings other football players with him to visit the veterans.  Now, he is passing the torch on to a teammate, as this weekend he's playing his last home game for Drake.
