TRAFFIC PROGRAM: Officers Plan To Step-Up Enforcement

Authorities will step up their efforts on Iowa roads over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Starting Monday, officers will begin a special traffic enforcement program called Step Up. 

They will be looking for drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts as well as any drivers not obeying traffic laws. 

During their labor day enforcement program Officers wrote more than 2,300 seat belt citations, caught more than 800 impaired drivers and wrote more than 13,000 speeding tickets.
