CAR JACKING: Police Search For Suspect

Des Moines Police are looking for a suspect they believe was involved in a carjacking. Officers were called to 11th and University around 8 p.m. Sunday evening.

Authorities say, while the male victim was waiting in his car for a friend, the suspect walked up, pointed a gun and demanded the victim take him somewhere. The pair drove to a nearby alley, and the suspect demanded the driver get out of the car.

The man walked to a nearby store and called police.

A short time later police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the stolen car and chased the suspect from it. The suspect was able to get away and at last check, no arrests have been made.
