The old Central Fire Station is on the docket for Des Moines’ November 19 city council meeting.

The council will set a hearing date to rezone the property at 900 Mulberry Street.

This is the next step in transforming the old fire station.  In October, the council voted to sell it to the Des Moines Social Club.

The re-zone meeting will change logistics, so the club is allowed to turn the old facility into a new theater, restaurant and night club.
