A former Des Moines police officer will be in court Tuesday for a probation hearing.

Last month, Brandon Singleton was sentenced to probation on drugs and weapons charges.

Then last week, authorities say he cut off his electronic monitoring device, violating his parole.

Police found Singleton hiding in a Des Moines basement.

Tuesday a judge will decide whether or not to revoke his probation. If it is revoked, Singleton could face 16-years in prison.

Singleton was fired from the police force after drugs were found in his squad car after he crashed it while on the job.
