Firefighters were called to a burning home on Saturday in the hopes of saving some beloved pets.

Ames Firefighters responded to 1111 Lincoln Way around 5 o’clock.

Everyone in the home made it out safely, but they couldn’t find their two cats. Firefighters were able to locate the animals and get them to safety.

The fire appears to be accidental, but it caused approximately $20,000 in damage to the home.
