A 2013 trade mission is planned for Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds to promote Iowa products and businesses in Vietnam and the Philippines.

The focus of the trip will be to increase Iowa pork exports to Southeast Asia and to help Iowa manufacturers with export opportunities and expansion in the region.

“This mission will generate new trading relationships with Vietnam and the Philippines,” said Reynolds, “Both countries have shown tremendous economic growth and continue to be open to new business opportunities – it makes sense for us to have a presence there and I am pleased to be leading this effort.”

Iowa businesses looking to expand or export products to Southeast Asia are being invited on the trip by the Iowa Economic Development Authority.

The trip runs from February 22nd to March 2nd and will include stops in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Manila.
