This may be a busy weekend to get your Christmas tree, if you haven’t already. And, now you can get one downtown.

This is the second year Loki’s Garden is hosting a tree lot downtown. This year it has a bigger location on Ingersoll Avenue next to G & L Clothing. Don Curry says the lot has proved popular downtown because more people are calling downtown home.

You’ll find Noble, Nordman and Grand furs from the Pacific Northwest. You can even find three varieties you can plant after the holidays. Curry says, “After you’re done with the holiday, take them outside, dig a hole, put them into the ground, leave them in their pot and everything. Then, come next spring, plant them for real.”

If you’re going to plant your tree after the holiday, you’ll want to wait until close to Christmas. You’ll only want to keep it in your home for three days before planting.
