A news conference is being held at 4:00 Wednesday afternoon on the abduction of two eastern Iowa cousins who have been missing since July.

Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins were last seen July 13th near Meyers Lake in Evansdale. Their bikes and some other personal items were found near the lake.

Officials searched the area and even drained the lake, but were unable to locate the girls. The FBI says it believes they were abducted.

Lyric was 10-years-old and Elizabeth was 8-years-old at the time of their disappearances. Both have had birthdays since.

Evansdale Police and the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office are holding the news conference at the Evansdale Police Department.
