On Saturday, people in the metro can attend a memorial for Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins.

The eastern Iowa cousins disappeared July 13th while riding their bikes near Meyers Lake in Evansdale. Law enforcement officials say they’re confident two bodies found by hunters Wednesday in a wildlife area in Bremer County are those of the girls.

There is a candlelight vigil for the cousins at Gray’s Lake Saturday. It runs from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the front parking lot closest to the street.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Organizers are asking you to bring your own candle and wear pink.

Donations are being accepted to go toward the reward fund established to find out who took the girls.

If you couldn’t make it out but still want to donate a fund has been setup to help the families with final expenses. You can send a check to the First Security State Bank in Evansdale to the Elizabeth and Lyric Fund.  Also, put Elizabeth and Lyric Fund on the memo line.
