Much of the community is expected to attend a memorial service for one of the Evansdale Cousins Thursday.

The celebration of life for Elizabeth Collins will be held at Heartland Vineyard Church in Cedar Falls.

It begins at 5 p.m. with a visitation, followed by a service at 7 p.m.

Details of Lyric Cook’s services haven’t been finalized yet.

The girls disappeared while riding their bikes in Evansdale last July.

Just last week hunters found the girls’ bodies in a park in Bremer County.

The investigation into how the girls died is still on-going.

Wednesday, the Collins talked about who they think might be responsible for their daughter’s death.

Drew Collins said, “I would bet everything I own that whoever did this is a previous offender.”

They also said they don’t want to speculate that the girls’ deaths are related to a drug case against Lyric’s father, Dan Morrissey.

Morrisey was scheduled to testify in court on drug and domestic abuse charges the day before the girls were kidnapped.

Drew said the girls’ deaths have been hardest on Morrissey because of those questions.
