The Des Moines city council will decide Monday night whether to approve conceptual development plans for the Des Moines Social Club’s new home.

The organization bought the old Des Moines fire station at 900 Mulberry Street in October.

Developers will transform the old building into a theater, restaurant, and night club.

There will also be plenty of space for arts and cultural events.

The Des Moines Social Club hopes to be moved into the new space in 2014.
