The city of Evansdale is working on ways to honor the lives of Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook.

The two girls were kidnapped on July 13th and their bodies were recovered five months later.

During the initial stages of the disappearance, crews focused their search on Meyers Lake in Evansdale where the girls were last seen.

City leaders are now considering the changing the name of the lake to “Cousins lake” in their honor.

Another option they are also considering is renaming the trail around the lake to “the Trail of Angels.”
