The Des Moines Salvation Army is inching closer to its holiday fundraising goal.

The charity organization is 60-percent of the way to its $1.2 million goal. They’ve brought in $715,000 thanks to the Red Kettle campaign so far.

The final day for the kettles and bell ringers is Monday, Christmas Eve.

You can still make donations through the mail, over the phone or online until mid-January.
