The blizzard held off long enough for one flight in particular to land in Des Moines.  One of the people on board made a little boy's wish come true this Christmas.

“Little Isaiah was telling everyone what he was going to ask for this Christmas and that was for Santa to bring his mom home,” says Jason Truman, General Manager at Bass Pro Shops.

Three year old Isaiah Young's mom serves with the Iowa Army National Guard.  He met with the big man at Santa’s Wonderland at the store.

“Ho, ho, ho, welcome, welcome and what would you like for Christmas?” asked Santa.

“Mommy,” says Isaiah.

“Guess what, have I got a surprise for you,” says Santa.

Waiting on the other side of a door was 19-year-old Private Elizabeth Young.  She left for basic and military training four months ago.

“It felt good.  I missed him,” says Young about surprising her son.

“It`s beyond words,” says Truman after watching the mother and son reunion.   “You just gotta wonder if there`s more here at work that what you might expect.”

Young will spend two weeks at home with her family before returning to Virginia for more training.  Now that his mom is home, Isaiah says he wants a Loopty-Loop for his Hot Wheels for Christmas.
