Metro residents who rely on public transportation to get around don’t have that option Thursday morning.

The blizzard conditions have caused the Des Moines Area Transit Authority to halt services until late Thursday morning. Road conditions are unsafe at this time but DART plans to re-start service around 11:45 a.m.

This is just the third time DART has shut down services in the past 20 years.
