Metro area public transportation riders were forced to stay home this morning. DART decided to pull its buses off the road because it was too dangerous for them to continue.

This is only the third time in DART’s 20 year history that they have had to cancel services.

Services resumed right before the noon hour Thursday.

If you are waiting for a bus during the evening hour’s officials are advising that you bundle up. The road conditions could cause buses to arrive much slower than normal, leaving you standing outside for some time.

Express bus routes are suspended for the remainder of the day.

Officials expect all services to be back to normal Friday.
