All city of Des Moines parks, trails, and cemeteries are closed until further notice.

The Des Moines Park and Recreation Department says the closures are because of clean-up operations from the blizzard Wednesday night into Thursday. Snow removal operations are still being conducted and there are downed branches and other debris that must be removed.

The city also says it has two warming shelters open for those still without power. The Four Mile Community Center at 3711 Easton Boulevard and Pioneer Columbus at 2100 SE 5th Street are open for are residents to warm up.
