GROWING NUMBERS: Iowa’s Population Increases

New estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show Iowa’s population is growing.

The numbers show the population increased by more than 27,000 people since the census in 2010.

Iowa’s new population estimate is over 3 million.

It sounds like a big jump, but it’s only about a 1 percent increase from 2 years ago.

The entire U.S. population increased about 2 percent over the last two years.
