Gabby Douglas is named the AP female athlete of the year.  What a year for the 17 year old Douglas.  All-around olympic gold medalist, endorsement deals out the ying yang, she meets President Obama, and now named athlete of the year by the Associated Press. She says she plans on competing in 2016, I believe her.

Nate KaedingNate Kaeding is leaving San Diego for Miami.  The former Hawkeye All-American signs with the Dolphins.  He’s got 2 games to prove himself, if he kicks well I think he gets a shot with a team next year, if not, it could be the end of the road.

The Beef O’Brady’s bowl is now 35-10.  Who’s winning?  Do you even know who’s playing?  Probably not.  Central Florida leads Ball State.

Already received a GREAT Christmas gift in the mail.  My brother in law and hisbacon girlfriend got us a membership to a ‘bacon of the month’ club.  Awesome.  We’ve already received our first pack of bacon, I’m hungry.  This isn’t bacon you can buy at the local grocery store, this is prime stuff.  I’m hungry…

So I was having trouble with my DirecTV after the snowstorm. First I lost the HD channels, then the SD.  No cable, very frustrating.  After trying many times to get it fixed over the phone it looked like it was going to take 8-9 days for a technician to come out to the house.  But, DirecTV steps up and is getting a tech over to the house Sunday morning.  This is the type of service I appreciate.
