The goal for the Lincoln Railsplitters basketball team is like any other high school team in the state.  They want to make it to the state tournament, but this year Lincoln has a little extra motivation.

The rails are dedicating their entire season to former teammate, Kevin Kong.

Kevin would have been a senior this year, but he drowned over the summer at Raccoon River Park.

The team now wears warm-ups with Kong's name on the back, and an open spot is left on the bench at every home game with his jersey to hold his place.

Kevin's mom Lana still attends every home game to cheer on the Rails, because she knows that's exactly what her son would have wanted.
