An eastern Iowa man is being called a hero after pulling a woman out of a fiery car after an accident.

Robert Bryan was going hunting early Sunday morning when he drove by a car that crashed on the side of the road.

Twenty-five-year-old Jacque McCallister was unconscious inside the car. Bryan pulled her free and called 911.

While many people call Bryan a hero, he says he was just doing the right thing.

“If I was in there, I’d want somebody to get me out,” says Bryan.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash.

At last check McCallister was still unconscious in the hospital. Her family says they’re thankful for Bryan’s actions.
