TRIAL SET: Mississippi River Boat Crash

The trial for two men charged in a deadly Mississippi River crash near Burlington in May has been scheduled.

Twenty-one-year-old Joseph Schier Jr. and 22-year-old Douglas Metcalf are each charged with one count of boating while intoxicated causing death and four counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Schier and Metcalf were operating jon boats that collided on the Mississippi River on May 19th, 2012. Four people were killed in the accident.

The trial for the two has been set for May 7th. Both men have entered not guilty pleas to the charges against them.
