Two Iowans sang their hearts out on national television Thursday night. Gabe Brown and Kevin Nabity auditioned for American Idol in Chicago, and one of them his headed to Hollywood.

Brown, from Marion impressed the judges with the cookies he brought from his family’s bakery as well as his Acapella version of Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones.

Nabity, a Polk City native didn't fare quite as well with his version of One Week by the Barenaked Ladies. The Iowa State grad also sang part of Come Sail Away by Styx and showed off some of his martial arts and dance moves, but even after all that the judges weren't impressed.

We also found out that a third Iowan, Alisabeth Von Presley of Marion got a ticket to Hollywood, but her audition wasn't shown on Thursday's episode. Watch her interview below.
