Hundreds of anti-abortion activists gathered at the Capitol to rally Saturday.

The March for Life rally fell just three days before the 40th anniversary of the Roe versus Wade ruling.

It was the US Supreme Court decision that gave women a constitutional right to have an abortion.

People marched around the state capital stopping for prayer at each corner.

The march ended outside the Iowa Supreme Court building.

“We’re here today to say that it’s too much. It’s too many years, it’s too many lives lost, and we want it to end.” Jennifer Bowen said.

A national March for Life rally will take place in the nation’s capital on Tuesday.
