A fire broke out in Jefferson early Sunday morning just before 12.30 a.m. consuming Larry’s Restaurant and Lounge.

In total, five fire crews attended the blaze with one of our viewers describing the scene, saying the whole town was covered in smoke.

Once the fire was under control, Jefferson Fire Chief Randy Love told Channel 13 that the roof had collapsed. The fire was contained to the single building.

Through the night, fire crews worked on extinguishing the final hotspots before they begin their investigation.

No injuries have been reported.
