Top Iowa military leaders met with Veterans on capitol hill Wednesday.

Major General Timothy Orr addressed the group for the annual Veterans Day at the Capitol. Besides hearing from leaders, the event allows veterans to get information from vendors and talk to lawmakers about their concerns.

Major Orr also announced a project that is underway designed to help veterans. “We are in the process of remodeling a building on Camp Dodge where we’ll consolidate the veteran’s affairs, along with the military records center so it will be in one place for all veterans,” Orr said.

Orr also invited the veterans back to the capitol for his Condition of the Guard” address on January 31st.
