Two women were restrained with duct tape during a home invasion in Des Moines Friday morning.

Des Moines Police say it happened at 1338 E. Sheridan when one of the women opened the door to let the dog out. That’s when two black males with weapons forced their way into the home and demanded money.

No money was found but they left with a cell phone.

The men were wearing black clothing and had covered their faces with scarves.

Police say a three-year-old boy in the home at the time was not duct taped and was treated very well, “almost as if they knew him.”

Police are continuing their investigation into the home invasion.
