1 week ago the Hawkeyes pulled off the biggest dual win of the wrestling season, upsetting top ranked Penn State.

The Nittany Lions are still the favorites to win the national title in March, but Iowa is showing life.

Friday night, they were on the road at #10 Illinois.

Something you don’t see very often, 2-time defending champ Matt McDonough loses, 9-4 to 5th ranked Jesse Delgado.   Delgado is the only wrestler to beat McDonough twice in his career.

Hawks bounce back at 133, Tony Ramos gets Daryl Thomas on his back and for the 2nd straight dual, Ramos with the fall. Iowa leads 6-3.

157, top ranked Derek St. John cruises to a 20-8, major win with 9 takedowns for St. John.
