INFO WANTED: Police Seek Help In Hit And Run Case

Police in southern Iowa are asking for help from the public to solve a hit and run collision.

Centerville rescue crews were called to the intersection of North Park Avenue and West Washington Street just before 7 p.m. Saturday when a passerby noticed someone laying in the road.

The 21-year-old victim has taken to Mercy Medical Center with serious injuries. He told authorities that a vehicle struck him while he was walking near the intersection.

The victim did not see the make or model of the car. Police are hoping anyone in the area at the time will come forward with information.  The Crime Stoppers number is 641-737-7100 there is a potential reward for any tip that leads to an arrest and conviction.
