State leaders are meeting Thursday to talk about what to do if the drought of 2012 turns into the drought of 2013.

The Iowa Senate Natural Resources Committee will discuss ways for families and business owners to respond to a drought if it continues.

Two members of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will speak at the meeting, as well as a family life specialist from Iowa State University Extension.

The meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in Room 24 at the Statehouse.
