Iowa State fans say this was an opportunity to finally beat a good team on the road but those who were betting their own money probably couldn't resist the urge to bet against the Cyclones on Wednesday’s trip to Baylor.

Fred Hoiberg's crew has found nearly every way to lose on the road in conference play and it didn’t start well. Baylor's Pierre Jackson throws up an alley oop pass, and count three! Jackson can only laugh. Bears get an early lead of 6.

George Niang leads a fight back. The big freshman powers his way to two to set ISU on a 10-2 run that leaves them up five at the break.

Baylor would trim the lead to 2 early in the second half, but Korie Lucious snaps back with a pair of threes towards his 16 points total for the night.

Chris Babb played his usual defense, but the first field goal of the game gave Iowa State an 11-point lead, 70-59. The Cyclones were always able to hold off the Baylor charges.

Notable contributions came from Melvin Ejim with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Tyrus McGee led the scoring with 22 points.

Iowa State gets the 87-82 win on the road and now like tournament bound.
