A little snow may have postponed most of the high school basketball games across the state, but it couldn’t stop the Iowa Energy.

"They'll be here we've got great fans whether they have to sled, ski, whatever it is they'll be here," General Manager Chris Makris said.

And they were, just not in bunches.

"It'll be a historic night for us, and I say that jokingly, we'll probably set a new record for smallest crowd ever at an Energy game"

Seat after seat left empty, but the Energy played on.

"We're not expecting to fill the arena up, but we do know that we'll have some of our passion," Makris added.

The few brave fans filtered into the arena with little worries about what was happening outside its doors.

Fan Kristine Godfrey explained, "It's a no brainer, we're dedicated fans. We decided to book a hotel so we didn't have to drive back home."

"It's just another game it's no different than any other. We should be able to make it out here,” Fan Mark Dixon said.
