The snow continued to fall overnight leaving less than ideal road conditions in central and southeast Iowa.

The Iowa Department of Transportation is warning drivers about the poor road conditions in much of the state. Roads in southwest, south central, central, and much of eastern Iowa are partially or completely snow and ice covered.

Wind blowing snow across the roads can also cause glazing conditions.

Travelers are being advised to take their time on the roads and make sure they have emergency supplies in their vehicle in case of an accident.

The DOT offers current road conditions at or by calling 511.
