The Iowa House Education Committee will consider anti-bullying legislation Monday at the Statehouse.

House Study Bill 196 relates to state and school anti-harassment and anti-bullying policies. It helps define bullying and covers it as electronic, written, verbal or physical.

Under the bill, electronic means of bullying will now include social networking sites.

The measure would also make sure additional procedures for reporting and investigating claims are in place.
