The murder trial of Seth Techel is entering a third week in Wapello County.

Monday morning the jury began listening to the rest of his recorded interview with investigators from the day his pregnant wife, Lisa Techel, was murdered.  Techel repeatedly describes hearing a shot, running from the shower and finding his wife lying in the bed.

At first during the interview, he denies having a relationship with a co-worker. But eventually, Techel admits to it. However, he insists that he wasn’t going to leave his wife.  The interview ends with Techel saying he didn’t kill his wife.

His defense claims someone broke into the house and pulled the trigger last May.

The state could rest its case against Techel Tuesday.
