As we head toward the weekend, some slick early mornings will be possible across Northern and Eastern Iowa.

Rain will be clipping the NE third of the state tonight and Friday night into Saturday morning, much like Thursday morning with isolated showers in Central Iowa as well. North of Highway 20, temperatures will dip enough that some freezing rain will be possible.

Only light glazings of ice are expected in Northern Iowa. Use caution early on roads, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Another round of rain and potentially some winter weather will move into the state on Monday.
