An Iowa justice ousted following her ruling on same-sex marriage will address a group of University of Northern Iowa students next week.

In 2010, former Chief Justice Marsha Ternus, and Justices David Baker and Michael Streit, lost their retention votes, following an expensive campaign by conservatives.

Since then, the former justices have made few public appearances.

However, on April 4th Ternus will speak as part of UNI’s pride week events.

All pride week events are free and open to the public.
