There are plenty of chances to go on an Easter egg hunt this weekend, but one event in particular is focusing on children who have difficulty participating in a traditional hunt.
Saturday, is the first annual Special Egg Event. It's an Easter egg hunt for children with special needs and their families.
There will be dedicated areas for different needs including a quiet hunt, a section for blind or visually impaired kids and an area for children in wheelchairs.
There will also be food, carnival games, pictures with the Easter bunny and more.
The Special Egg Event is from 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday at Drake stadium.
Organizer, Derian Baugh spoke to Erik Wheater about the event a short while ago on Today in Iowa Saturday.
