The end of winter could mean problems for thousands of Iowans.

More than 230,000 Iowans are behind on their utility bills.

Most were protected from disconnection during the winter months but that ends March 31st, this Sunday.

To avoid disconnection, customers should contact their energy company to work out a payment plan.
