FLOOD DAMAGE: Cedar Rapids To Demolish 50 Buildings

Crews are getting to work demolishing more than 50 buildings in Cedar Rapids.

The work on the flood damaged buildings began Monday and is expected to run through the end of May. In this round of demolition 39 residential and 12 commercial buildings will come down.

Cedar Rapids has already demolished more than 1,700 buildings since the flood water swept into the city during the summer of 2008.
