This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for SE Iowa until 5PM.  A Flash Flood Watch is also in place for SE Iowa.

Storms continue to slam southern Iowa along the edge of much warmer air to our SE. Heavy rain is the biggest threat through the afternoon, with some risk of hail in far SE Iowa as we progress toward evening.

Some areas south of I-80 have already received 2+" of rain, with potential for another 2 to 3" through tomorrow.

Northern Iowa will get a break from the rain through the first part of the afternoon, but another surge of rain and storms should bring the soggy weather back to those areas tonight.

Live Coverage of the storms will be available on Iowa's Weather Channel at :11 and :41 past the hour this afternoon. You can view it online here, or on your mobile with the 13WarnMe app.
