A young victim of a tragic accident is being put to rest Saturday.

Two-year-old Aleena Coe was in a coma after she pulled the family television on top of herself last August. Aleena died of her injuries three months later.

Her burial was delayed until a head stone could be created. The service will be held at the Rising Sun Cemetery on E. University at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

After the service, family and friends will go into the neighborhood and pass out tip-over prevention information door to door.

This action is one of the many ways Coe’s mother, Sarah Kuyrkendall, has tried to raise awareness about the issue of keeping children safe in the home.
