In an effort to raise money for women fighting breast cancer with their out of pocket expenses, people came to Waukee to strike the disease out.

Diagnosed with breast cancer almost 4 years ago, Katie Mangan has been cancer free for over a year now.

Katie’s Crusaders holds 5K and 10K road races every year to raise money to help women battling cancer with medical costs. This time they gave bowling a try.

With twelve teams signed up and other donations Sunday, they raised $1,450 towards the cause.
