The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging witnesses to come forward if they have information about a shooting at a Des Moines strip club early Sunday morning that led to the death of a man.

An autopsy was performed Monday on 23-year-old Reginald Bryan Jr. of Florida. The Polk County Medical Examiner officially ruled Bryan’s death a homicide.

The sheriff’s office says Bryan was at a large party at Big Earl’s Gold Mine when shots were fired around 3:25 a.m. Sunday. When deputies responded to the scene they found Bryan suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he died.

Another victim, 24-year-old Matthew Millsap of Des Moines, was shot in the leg and taken to a local hospital by a third party for treatment.

Investigators say they haven’t identified any suspects in the case but are continuing their interviews of witnesses Monday. They are asking anyone who might have information in the case to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400. You can leave a tip anonymously.
