Living History Farms in Urbandale opened for the season Wednesday, but that didn’t last long.

The attraction closed to the public Thursday due to winter weather conditions.

Staffers say this is the first time they’ve ever had to close in May due to the weather.

Workers are hopeful they’ll be able to re-open Friday. Especially, since they are expecting over 500 students for tours.

Officials say if they decide to close, they’ll post the information on the website.
