Snow was still coming down late night Thursday into Friday. The totals will be adjusted by the morning meteorologists, but Des Moines already had a new record of 1.9" of snow. That is the record for the day and the month of May.

Britt and Forest City both reported 11", which breaks the statewide record for snow totals in one calendar day, one storm total, and one-site month-long totals for May!

The snow will change back to all rain by Friday evening. Showers will continue through the weekend and then we will have highs back in the 70s by the end of the seven day forecast.
