A Des Moines man who held police in a standoff for 30 hours will appear in court later this month.

Michael Reed is scheduled to be arraigned on May 24.

Police were called to Reed’s home on Wright Street on April 21st for a property dispute, but he refused to come out of his home. At one point, authorities say Reed came out and fired a shot, no one was hurt, and the standoff eventually ended peacefully.

Reed will likely enter a plea to two charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
