An arrest has been made in a string of armed robberies at Des Moines, West Des Moines, and Clive businesses.

Thirty-nine-year-old Joshua Eden is charged with five counts of first degree robbery and the investigation could yield more charges.

The robberies — five in West Des Moines, two in Des Moines, and two in Clive — took place between early March and May. A Caribou Coffee and Subway in Clive were robbed. In West Des Moines Family Video, Victoria’s Cleaners, Sally Beauty Supply, Gamers, and Quiznos were robbed. In Des Moines a French Way Cleaners and a Subway was hit.

So far, only five charges of robbery have been filed against Eden but he remains a suspect in the four other cases.

The charges against Eden are fromĀ  two robberies in West Des Moines, two in Des Moines, and one in Clive.

Eden was arrested Thursday night by West Des Moines Police after a traffic stop. He is being held in the Polk County Jail.

Information on the case will be shared with other jurisdictions to see if Eden can be linked with other robberies.
