Few local businesses have undergone more change in the last few years than the Des Moines Register.

Iowa's newspaper is about to vacate its long-time offices downtown and just last week, its president and publisher, Laura Hollingsworth left to take a job with the leading newspaper in Nashville, TN.

The Register's interim president and publisher is also its editor-in-chief. Rick Green insists someone other than himself will be hired to replace Hollingsworth.

His first job though was to visit Dan Winters for Three Minutes in the Chair.

The Register has been in its current building on Locust Street since 1918 but now all of its news and multimedia operations are in the process of being moved to Capitol Square.
